POLICE are hunting a thief who stole eight car batteries while two children kept watch.
The offender drove a silver Holden Commodore station sedan to the rear of a commercial premises off Yirrigan Drive before stealing batteries and stashing them in his car at about 12pm on September 28.
During the incident a boy and girl, aged between seven and 12, were seen exiting the vehicle and looking around while the man stole the items.
A WA Police spokeswoman said Xide car batteries to the value of $320 had been stolen.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.
