Comet Battery Service was established in 1995 by Eddy and Ziggy and was located in 35A Biggs St, St.Albans.

In 1998 Comet Batteries moved to 218B Main Rd East, St.Albans with a more retail style showroom and a larger selection of batteries.

In 2006, after several months of hard work, Comet Batteries relocated to 158 McIntyre Rd, Sunshine North. The new look Comet Batteries boasts a large and impressive showroom with private customer parking out the front including undercover.

In 2015, Comet Battery Service incorporated the name “Comet Group Automotive” as a parent name of both Comet Battery Service and Comet Auto Electrical.
